Your doctor should assign you to physical therapy after your injury. Physical therapy will be used to help increase the strength of your muscles, especially your back, abdominal and hip muscles. These are three areas where you can easily loose strength over time while you are recovering from a spinal fracture. Don't skip out on appointments because your are tired or don't feel like it; sticking to a regular physical therapy schedule is important in order to get you back on your feet in a timely manner.
